Personal Blog - "DATABASE ERROR"

Discussion in 'Subrion CMS Plugins Discussion' started by projectashenfire, Jan 29, 2015.

  1. UPDATE:
It is not just my blog. For example:
I went to dashboard-members-permissions and the individual on/off buttons work.
When I use the 'RESET TO DEFAULT', I also get the same 'database error' message.

    Original post:
If I installed Subrion 3.2.5 and it did not complain about my database user/pwd,
then why am I now seeing 'database error' when I try to add a blog?

I used the built in blog inside the dashboard, under 'content' option.

    I filled out each field.
The calendar date, when to post is of today's date.
    Its on default english.
I did not specify any image.

    It fails to post.

  3. I put this in the forums because I was thinking it is something I needed to do.

Are you confirming that it happens to you as well?

Can you not add a blog post in the dashboard?
Can you also click on 'reset to default' and it gives error?

Thank you for a timely reply. You guys are great.

    Hello @projectashenfire ,

Yes, we confirm that there is bug in the Subrion CMS that is related to 'Reset all to default' link on Permissions page. But this bug is not critical and it doesn't affect on your site's efficiency.

    Thanks again for your report.
  5. My original post was that I can not use the blog that came with Subrion.
It has the database error also. I can not add a post.

So I guess maybe I stumbled on to the 'Reset all to default' by mistake and thought it was
    part of the same issue.

I still can not post with Subrion, so I guess I will wait for any patches.
All my directories are 755 permissions.
All my files are 644 permissions.

    Hi @projectashenfire ,
We don't have any problem with adding of blog entries. In order to resolve this problem please submit the ticket in our HelpDesk system including your FTP/cPanel details and me or my colleagues will help you asap.

  7. BTW, at some point I re installed and this issue is not a problem now.
I of course now have a database issue with Portfolio. I already am working on that in a different thread.
  8. Portfolio issue resolved with uninstall/reinstall of the plugin.
