Hi What does your debug screen say? Also please make sure you tried to use Album plugin on the latest 2.2.4 core version. We tested Albums plugin carefully on our local version and that page worked fine for us. So it could be incompatibility or server configuration issues. Please submit the ticket if you have 2.2.4 and still have the problem. Thanks!
Hi.. I have install plugin Photo Album, and run successful, If I admin, Create and Manage Photo working perfectly. But if in Manage Pages, i active page Picture Gallery said Error Requested URL not found (404) in http://mydomain/album/ please help....
Hello! This page was deprecated, actually, but was not removed from the list of pages. Albums can be accessed only at members' profile page. Still if you want Administrator's albums to be available on a separate page, please let me know, I will post the changes that should be done.
Hello.. i try to make new page in manage pages and add external url for Admin Picture Galery link... so it will show like this.. http://www.api45.com/album/admin/ any better ideas? thank you very much
Hi, I'm looking at this plug in and it's great, is it possible however for the administrators uploaded albums be available / seen by guests and other registered users instead of it being a personal member album?
Hello Everyone! The "Albums" plugin is updated for v3.1.0. Now it has an option to set a certain user's albums/photos as a gallery page!
Maybe I am doing something wrong.... When I try to configure the first set of photos, or when I click on the Extensions / Albums area, the screen only shows me the empty window without any photos in it. I cannot find any button to click on in order to add photos or upload any photos in the admin panel. And when I click on http://new.neoideas.com/albums I get a 404 page not found error. (I think that's the URL I am supposed to be using by default). Considering there is not documentation for this plugin, or for any part of your software CMS, I am stuck out in the cold with no place to turn for support to fix this issue. And I have left messages from more than a week ago and you still have not replied to my open tickets. Dale
Hello Dale, The page http://new.neoideas.com/albums is actually a parent page that has no content itself but displays albums of the members when the member username is specified. E.g.: http://new.neoideas.com/albums/username/ As far as the albums functionality is intended to provide every member with options to add/edit albums the actions are not included to the admin panel but present at the front end. You can manage your albums here http://new.neoideas.com/profile/albums/ when logged in. If you want to display Administrator's albums only you should go to the plugin's configuration page in Admin Panel and enable "Display Member's albums in Gallery" and enter correct username of Administrator (if changed) into emerged field. If you still have any problems with the plugin please update your ticket #YWK-788-84850 with FTP details of new.neoideas.com. I will help you to solve the problem.
We installed the album plugin, and put in an album. Because it is important to us that these albums are extremely accessible to site users, we also used a block on the frontpage, imported the "cover" image of the album into the block and added a little text with link to the gallery page. (www.cretefocus.com). This works really well, and gives the album (and future albums) the attention and prominence they need. The image we pulled in is however a little hazy, as it is an enlarged version of the 350 x 350 px thumbnail we really want to pull in and centre in the box. How do I get the smaller, sharper image, or can I somehow in the html force the image to be produced at a certain size? I also noticed that when we uploaded the excellent quality images in png format they were reproduced as poor quality images. When we uploaded them as jpg, they are perfect. Why does the album not like pngs?
Ok, we got the image size sorted by forcing a width and height of 150px on it in the html code in the "Contents" field of the block, good to know this can be done. All that leaves us now is the png versus jpg question. We prefer to use pngs...
