    Hi,

    I'm new to Subrion, so thanks in advance for taking the time with my questions!

    I've installed the Simpla Template and currently have the content in the page.

    First thing I'd like to change is background colour and text colour.

    • Menu Header Background
    • Menu Header Text White
    • Regular an other Text to black
    • Three (or more) columns instead of two in "User Blocks"
    I take it these may be added to user-style.css ??

    Greetings @webmaster_85158 ,

    In order to make first 3 changes on your site based on the Subrion CMS with the Simpla template you need to change the ../templates/simpla/less/ia-base.less file by using this instruction: http://www.subrion.org/forums/threads/styling-skeleton-template-with-less-css.1343/

    In order to have 3 columns instead of 2 (in the User Blocks section) you need to create new position (for example, user3) by the following way:
    1) open the ../templates/simpla/layout.tpl file and replace the code below:
    HTML:
    {if isset($iaBlocks.user1) || isset($iaBlocks.user2)}
        <div class="row-fluid">
            <div class="span6">{ia_blocks block='user1'}</div>
            <div class="span6">{ia_blocks block='user2'}</div>
        </div>
    {/if}
    with the code:
    HTML:
    {if isset($iaBlocks.user1) || isset($iaBlocks.user2) || isset($iaBlocks.user3)}
        <div class="row-fluid">
            <div class="span4">{ia_blocks block='user1'}</div>
            <div class="span4">{ia_blocks block='user2'}</div>
            <div class="span4">{ia_blocks block='user3'}</div>
        </div>
    {/if}
    save changes.
    2) open the ../templates/simpla/install.xml file and replace the code below:
    Code (Text):
    <section name="user-blocks">
        <position fixed="1">user1</position>
        <position fixed="1">user2</position>
    </section>
    with this code:
    Code (Text):
    <section name="user-blocks">
        <position fixed="1">user1</position>
        <position fixed="1">user2</position>
        <position fixed="1">user3</position>
    </section>
    3) log into your Subrion Admin Panel -> go to Manage Database -> execute the following .sql query:
    INSERT INTO `{prefix}positions` (`name` , `menu` , `movable`) VALUES ('user3', '0', '1');

    That's it!

    you can get more information here: http://www.subrion.org/forums/threa...ositions-and-footer-positions.2021/#post-8837

    Thanks for your interest in our software products!

    Thanks a lot! That's great.
    Only question is can I do it to a live site without having to run install template again and risk wiping the contents of other blocks that have already been modified ?

    Hello @webmaster_85158 ,
    Yes, you can apply the instructions above to your running site and nothing will be lost. You DON'T need to reinstall your template.
